In the year 1948, the people of Sirsa, Haryana saw the history in making when Shah Mastana Ji Founded such an organization, which changed the fates of millions forever.

Lakhs of deprived people are fed and cared for every year
As discussed before, the organisation Dera Sacha Sauda is setting an amazing example for the whole world in the field of selfless services. With the pious guidance of Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan (chief of Dera Sacha Sauda) DSS is carrying out 134 welfare works on a grand level, Food Initiative is one of them.
Food is the most prominent need of a human being. Not everyone is lucky enough to fulfil this need easily. Some has to struggle and some can’t even struggle due to their pathetic situations financial or physical. Food Initiative is a boon for such people. Serving mankind on priority is the main focus of the followers of Dera Sacha Sauda. Monthly rations are given to those who are destitiute, in homes that have no one to earn, to those who are sick and cannot work, to the elderly with no one to take care of them. Thousands of such people are served every month with ration and financial help. Here the question arises that how these people manage to arrange this much quantity of ration and food items for destitute? The millions of followers of Dera Sacha Sauda are contributing amazingly in Food Bank Initiative. According to this Initiative, these people keep one day fast every week and donate that day’s food in ‘Food Bank’ or donate it to some needy around. During the first wave of coronavirus, many destitute were given ration so that they could get square meals a day.
This is an outstanding and noble task.
Bonded by blood — Blood Donation Drives by Dera Sacha Sauda
Blood- A nectar that can provide a gift of life to a dying human. God has blessed all of us with such a marvellous right to become the reason for someone’s new life. Dera Sacha Sauda has set huge milestones in the field of blood donation and flourishing its roots in the field of selfless services. Dera Sacha Sauda is a source of inspiration among all.
It holds 3 Guinness World records for donating maximum blood in a single day.
On 7th December, 2003 by donating 15, 432 units of blood.
On 10th of October, 2004 with the great zeal of blood donors, it broke its own record by donating 17,921 and set a wonderful example in front of the world.
This is not the end, on 8th October, 2010, it was all surprising and blood collecting team was startled because they saw the number of blood donors more than their huge capacity of collecting and storing blood. On that day, many volunteers had to return home without donating blood because the collecting teams didn’t have capacity to store and maintain more blood. It was all amazing and Dera Sacha Sauda made its third Guiness World record by donating 43,732 units of blood. This is not the end, Dera Sacha Sauda has made Asia Book of records and Limca book of records in the field of blood donation.
Millions of HIS disciples got aware about the true lessons of humanity with the motivation of Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan. DSS followers are always on their toes to serve mankind. Regular blood donation drives are being arranged at Dera Sacha Sauda to fulfil the need of blood. Every disciple who is eligible of donating blood, never says no to a needy. That is the reason they are known as ‘The True Blood Pump’.
The volunteers of this organisation have provided blood to the numerous accident victims on time and saved their lives. Always ready to donate blood for the Thalassemia patients, to anyone in need, to the blood banks and also fulfilled the need of hospitals during covid times.
Till date Lakhs of units have been donated and uncountable number of lives have been saved by DSS volunteers .
Service Beyond Life — Posthumous Body Donation and Eye Donation
By removing all the delusions about the donation, Saint Dr. MSG guided millions of people towards true donation. Guru Ji told how Posthumous Body donation and eye donation can be the highest contribution in the service of mankind. Till date thousands of pair of eyes have been donated posthumously by DSS volunteers. Hundreds of body donations have been done posthmously by the volunteers of Dera Sacha Sauda. Lakhs have pledged to donate their eyes and full body after death. The zeal of serving humanity among these people got incomparable when many pledged and some have already donated their kidney to save someone’s life from danger. Thousands have pledged for this noble work as well.
Dera Sacha Sauda holds Asia Book of records for the most voluntary eye donations and most voluntary body donations. This is the great service to medical field, who need dead bodies to research, practice and find new treatments for ailments.
Duty towards Mother Earth — More than 45 million trees have been planted by Dera Sacha Sauda till date
Paying the duties towards the Mother Earth, DSS is also second to none. Every year, disciples of Dera Sacha Sauda decorate the mother earth with its most beautiful ornaments- trees. 15th of August is the day when Millions of people provide the gift of greenery to the mother earth because the pious birthday of Revered Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan falls on 15th of August and with HIS pious teachings, followers celebrate the birthday of their Guru by planting trees. Disciples of Dera Sacha Sauda celebrate every occasion by planting trees with the inspiration of Saint Dr. MSG. It has set up milestones in the field of environment conservation too. On 15th August, 2009, the 938,007 trees were planted simultaneously by 169,920 participants in just 1 hour and bagged the Guinness World record. The fascinating part is that it broke its own record in next 7 hours. Yes, on the same day 6,873,451 trees were planted in a total of 8 hours. This is remarkable achievement and DSS established Guinness World record for this amazing work too.
For the conservation of environment and achieving the sustainable development goals, Dera Sacha Sauda started ‘Bye Bye Ethene’ , ‘Birds Nurturing’ and ‘Save Electricity’ initiatives also. Millions of people pledged not to use plastic and to adopt cloth bags and environment friendly habits to save environment. These all efforts have resulted into great outcomes -

Financially weaker sections who are unable to carry the expenses of the treatment of their physical troubles are getting great help from the Dera Sacha Sauda. Every Year ‘Yaad-E-Murshid’ Free Eye camp is being organised on 13th, 14th and 15th of December at Dera Sacha Sauda to commemorate the ocean of divinity Revered Guruji Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj. Thousands of eye patients are treated here every year without charging any cost . Dera Sacha Sauda is a Guiness World record holder in this field too. The largest eye health screening on 12 December, 2013 made this record.
To commemorate Beparwah Sai Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj , ‘Yaad-E-Murshid’ Free Deformity correction camp is being organised every year on 18th of April. Free checkups and medicines are provided to the patients and free calipers and wheel chairs are also provided to the patients for their use absolutely free of cost. This is really a great step towards the service of humanity. Monthly free medical camps are also organised at Dera Sacha Sauda for the help of needy patients.
Contribution of DSS towards women empowerment -
A number of exemplary initiatives have been taken by Dera Sacha Sauda for women empowerment, leaving all the Orthodox rituals behind. Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan has taken incredible steps towards women empowerment. By promoting Girls Education and stopping female foeticide through the spiritual congregations and by establishing educational institutions, royal home for daughters who were abandoned or were to be killed in womb, Saint Dr. MSG guided millions and changed lives of many children. Empowering girls in such a way that today they are strong enough and independent for their own survival and for becoming the support for others.
Self Defence training is provided to the girls, strengthening physical and mental skills of them by Dera Sacha Sauda. The Girls entrapped in prostitution are adopted by Saint Dr. MSG to reform their lives from hell to better than heaven . A number of girls came out from this mud.
